A 25-year-old man was taken to a hospital Thursday after a parachuting accident near Dillingham Field.

The man was transported in stable condition after the incident close to 9:35 a.m. Thursday, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.

The man’s parachute hit high voltage wires and he fell to the ground, Honolulu Fire spokesman Terry Seelig said.

“He didn’t appear to have any burns,” Seelig said.

Seelig said the man was talking and alert after the fall and suffered what appeared to be minor injuries.
