Flash flood watch lifted for northern islands

This radar image shows bands of rain in the green areas and heavier showers in the yellow areas.

This weather radar image taken this morning shows a band of showers in the channel between Molokai and Oahu moving west.

The National Weather Service lifted a flash flood watch for Oahu, Kauai and Niihau early this afternoon.
The watch had been issued because of the threat of heavy showers from a slow-moving weather system.
The moisture and unstable conditions were from the same weather system that brought heavy showers over the weekend. That system had moved off to the east, but reversed course and moved back over the islands over the past few days.
