Teen accused of raping Vegas Strip tourist in 2011
LAS VEGAS >> A 17-year-old boy has been indicted after authorities say he and another man grabbed a tourist who became separated from her friends and raped her at knifepoint on the Las Vegas Strip.
The boy was indicted Wednesday on multiple charges including sexual assault, kidnapping and battery. The Associated Press generally does not name suspects who are minors.
Police say they’re still looking for 25-year-old Matthew Goin, who’s believed to be the boy’s accomplice.
Authorities say the boy was 15 when he and Goin snatched the woman after she left the Wynn casino in September 2011. Officials say the two assaulted her in a mall parking lot.
A judge set bail at half a million dollars for the teen, who has been homeless since he was 12 years old.
