Whale carcass cut up and hauled away

Private contractors spent close to seven hours Saturday ripping apart a decomposed sperm whale carcass at Heeia Kea Pier in Kaneohe. The remains were then pushed by a bulldozer onto a flatbed semitruck for transport to the Waimanalo Gulch Landfill.
