Man charged after allegedly driving stolen car into median
Prosecutors charged a 30-year-old Nanakuli man who allegedly stole a car and drove it into a median in Pearl City on Monday night.
Police said an officer on routine patrol saw a car being driven erratically and striking the median.
The officer stopped the vehicle, but the driver fled on foot. The officer caught him a short distance away, police said.
Police arrested Brandon Reis on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, reckless driving and driving without a license.
Prosecutors charged him with the unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and driving without a license.
Reis’ bail was set at $50,000.
