Oceanic to carry Fox Sports 1 starting Saturday
Oceanic Time Warner Cable announced a deal has been reached that will make the Fox Sports 1 channel available to subscribers when it debuts Saturday morning.
A spokesman for Oceanic, the state’s largest cable operator, said FS1, “will replace Speed on cable channels 214/1214. Customers who take our standard level of service (level that includes ESPN/TNT/CNN etc.) and have a digital box will be able to view the new channel.”
Hawaiian Telcom said it will carry FS1 on channel 75/1075.
FS1 is the Fox Network’s planned 24-hour, all-sports competitor to ESPN.
