Lanai owner Ellison calls NSA tracking essential
Larry Ellison, founder and chief executive of Oracle and owner of Lanai, believes the National Security Agency is “great” and “essential” for minimizing terrorist attacks.
He said during an interview on “CBS This Morning” that data has been collected about consumers long before the NSA, citing credit-card data companies collect.
The line would be crossed, he said, were the government to start using the data for political targeting, rather than terrorism prevention.
