Judge says naked San Francisco acrobat must face charges
SAN FRANCISCO » A man that prosecutors say performed acrobatics and attacked people while naked in a San Francisco BART station has been ordered held to answer on serious charges.
The San Francisco Chronicle says a judge made that ruling Monday at a hearing for 24-year-old Yeiner Garizabalo.
A BART maintenance worker testified that the trained Berkeley acrobat performed handstands and flips, grabbed passengers and fondled himself during the May 10 encounter at the 16th Street station.
He allegedly kicked a woman in the stomach and grabbed an elderly man.
Video of the bizarre incident went viral online. He remains jailed.
His attorneys say they believe that Garizabalo had a mental breakdown.
