Fans of Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha in Aina Haina can now bring the store’s handcrafted, all-natural shave ice closer to home with the introduction of HOPA Catering.

Guests at birthday celebrations, wedding celebrations and anniversaries are sure to warm to the colors and cool, refreshing flavors of the shave ice, and it’s sure to be a morale builder in corporate boardrooms. One downtown bank just hosted a meeting with HOPA in the house.

A basic package for groups of 50 or more includes the choice of four syrups and three toppings. Additional and special syrups, toppings and other add-ons are also available upon request.

HOPA’s homemade syrups use fresh local fruit including strawberries, mango, lilikoi, guava and coconut. There’s also li hing, green tea and milk chocolate syrups, the latter made with North Shore-grown Waia­lua Estate chocolate. HOPA toppings include fresh strawberries and pineapple, azuki beans and its signature creamy sauce.

On the day of an event, HOPA will arrive with shave ice machines ready to go. Hosts can just sit back and claim all the credit for such a cool idea.
