Two high ranking Hawaii-based Navy officers have new assignments:
>> Rear Adm. Paul B. Becker will be assigned as director for intelligence on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. Becker has served as director for intelligence at U.S. Pacific Command at Camp Smith since July 2011.
He was commissioned as an intelligence officer upon graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1983.
Becker received a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2001.
Becker was commanding officer of U.S. Central Command’s Joint Intelligence Center in Tampa, Fla., from 2007 to 2009; director of intelligence for U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain from 2005 to 2007; and intelligence watch officer in the Combined Air Operations Center at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia in 2003 during early Iraqi Freedom operations.
>> Capt. Daryl L. Caudle, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as deputy chief for support/security agreements in the Office of Defense Representative, Pakistan. Caudle is chief of staff at the Pacific Fleet Submarine Force at Pearl Harbor.
He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1985. He is also a licensed professional engineer.
Caudle was commanding officer of the attack submarine USS Jefferson City (SSN 759). He also served as deputy commander of Submarine Squadron 11 in San Diego and commander of Submarine Squadron 3 at Pearl Harbor.
