Vegas man pleads to evading taxes on pimp income
LAS VEGAS >> A 34-year-old Las Vegas man has pleaded guilty to evading taxes on money he earned as a pimp.
Internal Revenue Service officials say Johnny Ray Taylor pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to one count of tax evasion. He’s agreed to pay nearly $118,000 in restitution to the IRS.
Investigators say Taylor didn’t file his taxes in 2008, 2009 and 2010, even though he made more than $230,000 in 2010 alone.
He’s accused of having third parties pay his car and house payments in an effort to conceal his income from the federal government.
Taylor admitted in a plea agreement that at least $10,000 of his income in 2010 came criminal pimping and the earnings of a prostitute.
