Police investigate death in UH dormitory
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy Wednesday on a 26-year-old man found unconscious in a University of Hawaii dormitory.
Roommates found the victim unresponsive at 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said. He was later declared dead at the scene.
Police said initial investigations have found no indication of foul play, and homicide detectives have classified the incident as an unattended death, pending the outcome of the autopsy. Medical examiners said autopsy results were unavailable Wednesday.
Bicycle crash leaves man badly injured
A 52-year-old man was critically injured in a single-bicycle crash Wednesday afternoon near Dillingham Ranch in Mokuleia, Emergency Medical Services said.
EMS personnel transported the man to a hospital after the 5:51 p.m. accident.
The off-road accident occurred at 68-540 Farrington Highway about half a mile inland, EMS said.
Confrontation with officer leads to arrest
A 31-year-old man was arrested after a skirmish with a police officer in Chinatown early Wednesday.
Officers were called at 2 a.m. to a business in Chinatown, where they confronted a man who refused to leave.
The suspect allegedly used force against one of the officers and was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and harassing a police officer. The officer was not injured.
