Hawaii tourist arrivals rose 7.6 percent in March
Tourist arrivals to Hawaii in March were up 7.6 percent to 769,047, the Hawaii Tourism Authority said today.
Total expenditures by visitors rose 7.8 percent from March 2012 to $1.3 billion, according to the preliminary statistics released by HTA.
Daily spending climbed 3.3 percent to $186 per person.
Among Hawai‘i’s top visitor markets, arrivals by air from U.S. West grew 11.5 percent to 295,510 visitors in March. Arrivals from Japan increased 4.3 percent to 127,543 visitors.
