Takson Krstoth pleaded guilty Tuesday to fatally stabbing of T.J. “Tipuk” Mori at a Kalihi public housing complex in September 2011.

Circuit Judge Judge Randall K.O. Lee will sentence Krstoth to life in prison with the possibility of parole on July 23 at 10:30 a.m.

The Hawaii Paroling Authority will determine the minimum time Krstoth must serve before becoming eligible for parole. As part of a plea deal, the state will recommend a 15-year minimum sentence on the second-degree murder charge.

Mori, 24, was stabbed in the back following an argument with Krstoth at Mayor Wright Homes. Both men were residents at the housing complex.
