GMO HEARING DRAWS OVERFLOW CROWDS | The hearing room was filled to capacity Thursday as state lawmakers listened to testimony on whether to require genetically modified organism labeling on products shipped to Hawaii. The overflow crowd outside the hearing room watched the proceedings on two video monitors in the corridors of the state Capitol. The Senate committees on Agriculture, Consumer Protection and Health agreed to table the proposal.

Legislators listened to testimony on a bill to require labels on genetically modified food products shipped to Hawaii. Wynnie Hee testified in favor of the measure and walked out wearing her support sign.
