The state Senate voted unanimously Thursday to confirm Dean Ochiai as a Circuit Court judge on Oahu and Kevin Souza as a district family court judge on Oahu.

Ochiai, a former vice president and managing attorney for First Insurance Co. and a senior trial attorney for the City and County of Honolulu, has been a district court judge since 2011.

Souza, a former chief of staff to Lt. Gov. James “Duke” Aiona and a trial attorney, has been a per diem judge on the district family court since last February.
