Kailua man arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting 10-year-old girl
A 53-year-old man was arrested Friday morning for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl, Honolulu police said.
The man, of a Kailua address, allegedly assaulted the girl from 2007 to 2009, according to police records.
He was arrested at 10:10 a.m. Friday on suspicion of third-degree sexual assault and was released that evening on $20,000 bail.
In a separate incident, a 59-year-old man was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl, police said.
According to police records, the girl reported that the assault took place in a Kaimuki home from 10 p.m. Dec. 14 to around 12:30 a.m. Dec. 15. The suspect was arrested at 10:18 a.m. Thursday without incident on suspicion of four counts of first-degree sexual assault, police said.
The Honolulu Prosecutor¹s office later reclassified all four counts to second-degree assaults, and police said the man was released at 6:05 p.m. Friday on $100,000 bail.
