Man held in alleged truck rampage at Iroquois Point
A 29-year-old soldier was arrested early this morning after he allegedly used his truck to terrorize residents at the Iroquois Point housing facility in Ewa Beach.
According to police, the suspect was driving recklessly in the housing area around 12:45 a.m. and severely damaged a military-owned structure. When a resident attempted to get the suspect to stop, the suspect allegedly turned his truck toward the man and attempted to run over him.
The suspect eventually crashed into a parked vehicle then fled on foot. He was located two hours later at Mokupea Place and West Elua Way and was arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, second-degree criminal property damage, and operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.
No injuries were reported.
