DIVERSE ART Center put on a throughly entertaining show of dance and street art, directed by Nicole Kealoha, Saturday afternoon at Ala Moana Center. I liked the break-dancing crew of Joshua Sevellino, Ceaser Reyes, Blaze Baluyot, DemvirMacaraeg and Marcus Venta best. Chloe Kealoha, Nicole’s 11-year-old daughter, and Kristin Seal, Kelsey Ohgotta, Noriko Narisada, Yoriko Asada and Chikako Otaki performed Tahitian dances. Other members of the group of 43 danced to hip-hop. Deejay was DJ Packo. Artists Remi Mead, looking arty and cool with a tinge of purple in her dark hair, Shaun Castro and Jay Lucky painted a colorful picture of a girl on a large canvas. All of this including acting, filming and more is taught by Diverse Art Center to students from 4 to 55. For info call 275-7776 or visit www.diverseartcenter.org. …
