This year’s ukulele festival has a mobile phone application.

Ukulele Festival Hawaii founder Roy Sakuma says the mobile app is another way to promote the event to a broader audience.

The app features the schedule for Sunday’s festival, photos and biographies of performers and other information.

The app is available on the iPhone and other Apple mobile devices and on Google Play for Android phones.

Twenty-four acts will be performing at the festival in Kapiolani Park in Honolulu. Musicians will be coming from as far as France, Australia, Thailand and South Korea to play ukulele.

The annual festival is being held for the 42nd year.
