No tsunami generated from Philippine quake
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck the western coast of the Philippines, and no tsunami warning was sent out, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported.
The quake hit at 11:18 a.m., Hawaii time, on Saturday 113 miles northwest of Manila, Philippines, 24 miles southwest of Santa Cruz, Philippines, and 27 miles northwest of Amungan, Philippines, according to the center.
The epicenter was at a depth of 21.9 miles.
