Brush fire flickers out in Waianae
A small brush fire above Haleahi Road in Waianae virtually put itself out before firefighters arrived, the Honolulu Fire Department said Saturday.
The department said it was unsure whether the fire flared up in the same location as the previous one.
The call came in around 12:30 p.m. near 85-1598 Haleahi Road, and the fire was deemed under control when the department arrived.
The department said it would take up to 20 minutes to put the fire out completely.
