A six-inch water main break in lower Liliha forced the closure of the two left Ewa-bound lanes of North Vineyard Boulevard near Pua Lane this afternoon.

The crash break happened about 4:30 p.m. at 1408 Pua Lane. Special duty police officers were assigned to manage traffic following the break, city Board of Water Supply officials. Work is expected to continue into the late evening. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.

About 24 customers are affected by the break. A water wagon has been set up to provide water to affected customers
