Woman injured in zipline accident on Maui
A 43-year-old Fremont, Calif., woman suffered a fractured left leg Monday at Maui Zipline, located behind Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.
Fire officials said she hurt herself as she was coming down the zipline and landing on a 40-foot-high tower.
She was airlifted from the tower to a field near Honoapiilani Highway, then taken by ambulance to Maui Memorial Medical Center.
The incident was reported at 10:22 a.m. today, fire spokesman Lee Mainaga said.
