A 22-year-old Kalihi man has been charged with harassment and other offenses after he allegedly refused to leave the 24 Hour Fitness gym on Kapiolani Boulevard on Tuesday night when an employee told him his membership had expired, police said.
Steven Kamano was charged with harassment, second-degree criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.
Kamano entered the gym at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday and walked past an employee who informed him his membership had expired, police said.
When a police officer arrived and ordered the man to leave the gym, Kamano swore at the officer and swatted the officer’s hand when the officer tried to escort him out, police said.
A 23-year-old man, Kuaikauipomaikai Kamano, began to interfere with the arrest and was also arrested and charged with resisting arrest, police said. Both suspects live at the same address.
