A 29-year-old man was in custody after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s Manoa home and assaulting her early Saturday morning.

Police said the 33-year-old woman heard glass breaking and upon investigation found her ex-boyfriend in her apartment. The suspect assaulted the woman but neighbors called police and detained the man until officers arrived and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree burglary, police said.

The victim wejnt to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
