UH and HCC students vie for fashion title
Kahala Mall will present its second annual stylist challenge and runway show "Bloom: Spring Into Style" on Saturday.
Apparel/design students from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Honolulu Community College will face off to see who earns the title of "Stylists of Kahala Mall 2012," at 1 p.m. at Kahala Mall’s Center Court. Cheer on your favorite student teams as they send their models down the runway in the latest spring styles from Kahala Mall.
Each of the four teams will style a local celebrity model, a professional agency model, a professional child model and a model from the Junior League of Hawaii to ensure that the looks fit a range of personalities and lifestyles. There will also be a People’s Choice Award with voting at Facebook.com up until the start of the competition.
While there, shoppers can enter to win round-trip tickets for two on Hawaiian Airlines to neighbor islands (awarded in the form of 30,000 HawaiianMiles) and a two-night stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
Shoppers who spend $75 or more at the mall between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. will also receive three HawaiianMiles for every dollar spent. (Redeem from noon to 5 p.m. at the kiosk fronting The Walking Co.)
