Unresponsive man hospitalized after boat tour off Waikiki
A 55-year-old man was found without a pulse or respiration Thursday during a boat tour off Waikiki.
The man was a customer of the Spirit of Aloha, an offshore excursion vessel, when he was found unresponsive about 2:30 p.m. and brought back to the pier near Hilton Hawaiian Village, said Jim Howe, Ocean Safety Division operations chief. It was unclear if the man was on the boat or in the water when he was found.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital in critical condition, an Emergency Medical Services supervisor said. His current condition is unknown.
