Kauai won’t take green waste at three transfer stations
Kauai County workers won’t accept green waste at the Hanalei, Kapaa and Hanapepe transfer stations due to safety concerns caused by muddy conditions in the drop-off areas caused by Tuesday’s heavy rains.
When conditions improve, the services will resume.
In the meantime, residents may drop off their green waste at the Lihue transfer station or the Kekaha Landfill.
