Here are the synopses of this week’s Korean drama shows:
"My Love by My Side"
Episodes 47 and 48
Tonight, 6:45 p.m.: Mrs. Kang accidentally finds the fake Mrs. Kong. When asked why she lied, the fake Mrs. Kong tells her that Jung-ja made her do it. Jung-ja tries to stop Mrs. Kang from finding Mr. Song. But then Jung-ja finds out that Mr. Song is dead.
Tonight, 7:45 p.m.: After Mrs. Kang finds out the truth about Yoon-jung’s baby, she kicks out Jung-ja and her family. Jin-gook feels responsible for what Jung-ja and Seok-bin did, so he quits and leaves. She goes to Hope House to make a donation and inquires about Mrs. Kong while there. She gets Mrs. Kong’s phone number and finds out who her grandson is when she calls.
"Thousand Days’ Promise"
Episodes 5 and 6
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-hyung comes to see Jae-min and runs into Seo-yeon’s doctor. Ji-hyung overhears their conversation and learns about Seo-yeon’s illness. Ji-hyung comes to see Seo-yeon and tells her to get a second opinion.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Conflicted by his feelings for Seo-yeon, Ji-hyung calls off the wedding. Hyang-gi is devastated by the news. She comes back home a mess. She starts throwing up, and her mom mistakenly thinks Ji-hyung dumped Hyang-gi when she’s pregnant. Hyang-gi tells her parents she called off the wedding because Ji-hyung doesn’t love her.
"Live in Style"
Episodes 15 and 16
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Shin-hyung’s attempts at getting Ah-ra back seem to be going nowhere. Shin-hyung runs into Ah-ra on the street. Overcome with emotion, he tries to kiss her, but he’s met with a violent reaction.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Shin-hyung comes to Ah-ra’s house bearing gifts. He finds the door open and lets himself in only to run into Ah-ra and Eun-girl coming out of a room together. Ah-ra is just as surprised to find Shin-hyung in her house.
"Tree with Deep Roots"
Episodes 13 and 14
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Soyi and Chae-yoon meet where they had met when they were younger and recognize each other. The king gives permission to Soyi to leave with Chae-yoon. The king is enraged when his people die from the plague because they couldn’t read the announcement telling them to be aware of the spread of the disease.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Chae-yoon comes back to the palace to kill the king but fails. He tries to commit suicide but Mu-hyul stops him. Lee Shin-jeok rallies the court officials to stop the creation of Hangeul. Yoon-pyung turns himself in and confesses that the scholars he killed were working with the king to create Hangeul.
