A water main break on Campbell Avenue in Kapahulu was repaired and the road reopened this afternoon after nearly 24 hours, the Honolulu Board of Water Supply said.

A 12-inch main break was reported between Monsarrat Avenue and Kaunaoa Street on Monday afternoon, leaving one home and one business without service. While the break was repaired by this morning, crews worked until 2:45 p.m. to repair the road.

At 1 a.m. today, water crews repaired a break to a 6-inch main that broke Monday morning on Gulick Avenue near Pacheco Street in Kalihi.

That break affected about 16 homes in the area.
