A suspicious package found on the 26th floor of the Harbor Court business tower Friday afternoon turned out to be several packets of food condiments and along loose powder food additives, a Honolulu fire official said.

Police and fire officials were called to the Hawaii Pacific Health offices in the downtown Honolulu office building about 4 p.m., Honoluu fire Capt. Terry Seelig said. Occupants of the building were not asked to evacuate, but about a dozen employees on the 26th floor were asked to stay in their offices, he said.

The situation was cleared about 5:10 p.m.

While the contents of the package turned out to be harmless, Seelig said the employees did the proper thing notifying authorities of a suspicious packageand urged others to do the same.
