Four men escaped Sunday from the minimum-security Waiawa Correctional Facility, and CrimeStoppers and Honolulu police are asking for help in finding them.
Jordan White, age 20, Elijah Keakahumoku, 28, George Thomas, 24, and David Carvalho Jr., 40, came up missing during a routine bed check and head count at Waiawa Correctional Facility at 1:10 a.m.
All of the men were last seen wearing red T-shirts and long, blue denim pants.
Police said they were seen near Mililani Golf Course between 8 and 9 a.m.
White is described as Hawaiian, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has four convictions, including a robbery conviction in 2008 for which he received a 10-year sentence.
Keakahumoku is described as Hawaiian, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has 17 convictions, including misdemeanor assault, terroristic threatening and unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
Thomas is described as African-American, 6 feet tall, weighing 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has 11 convictions, including a 2005 conviction for unauthorized control of a vehicle.
Carvalho is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 171 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has 32 convictions, including 14 burglary convictions, the latest in 2006.
Police said the four should be considered armed and dangerous.
CrimeStoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cell phone.
