Fire destroys Big Island home
A Big Island fire destroyed a three-bedroom home in Pahoa Monday night, causing $90,000 worth of damage.
Firefighters responding to a 7:16 p.m. alarm at 15-2677 Opae St. found the 800-square-foot structure engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control by 7:45 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but firefighters believe it may have started in the kitchen.
