Honolulu police and University of Hawaii campus security are investigating the alleged assault of two people in the courtyard outside the Hale Aloha cafeteria on Thursday.

According to the university, the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. when a group of five males attacked the two victims for no apparent reason. The attackers fled when others intervened. The victims were unable to provide a description of the suspects.
