A 15-year-old male was detained Monday afternoon after police recovered several allegedly stolen items from the juvenile’s home in Anahola.

Police responded to a burglary in the Anahola area last Wednesday and an officer observed a male walking near a burglarized home holding an iPad.

Upon further investigation, the officer was able to identify the iPad as a one of the items stolen in the burglary on Weke Road in Hanalei earlier this month.

The Anahola male was detained for first-degree burglary along with second-degree theft. Custody of the juvenile was turned over to the sheriff’s deputies.

Police are continuing to investigate if the recovered items may be in connection with other thefts in the Analoha or Hanalei area.
