The state says application forms for this year’s Lanai mouflon sheep hunting season are available at Division of Forestry and Wildlife offices around Hawaii.

The deadline for applications is May 27. Go to www.hawaii.gov/dlnr/dofaw.

The state said last week the season will consist of three separate hunts, divided into archery, muzzleloading firearm and general rifle hunts. The archery hunt will be held from June 30 through Aug. 6. The muzzleloading hunt is scheduled for two weekends, Aug. 13-14 and Aug. 20-21.

The general rifle hunt will be held over nine consecutive weekends between Aug. 22 and Oct. 23.
