UH-Hilo braces for budget cuts
There could be fewer class options in the fall for University of Hawaii at Hilo students.
The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reported today that university administrators anticipate canceling a number of classes to brace for budget cuts from the state.
Chancellor Donald Straney said he is asking department chairpersons to identify possible courses that can be canceled. He said faculty should look at having larger class sizes or cutting classes that usually have few students.
