Power restored to Waimalu area
A power outage affected an estimated 825 customers in the Waimalu area for about 40 minutes before electricity was restored.
The outage began about 7 p.m. and power was restored about 7:40, HECO spokesman Peter Rosegg said.
A person who answered the phone at Waimalu Chop Suey said power had been out at Waimalu Shopping Center, but was on makai of Kamehameha Highway.
