Kapaa man charged with assault
Kauai police Thursday arrested Francis Keaney, 69, of Kapaa and charged him with second-degree assault.
Police said an investigation has revealed that Keaney was allegedly involved in a dispute over marijuana.
He was being held in police cellblock in lieu of $5,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.
