NO-CONTEST PLEA IN PRISON ASSAULT CASE: Former state prison guard Ryan Malasig, 44, pleaded no contest in state Circuit Court yesterday morning to sexually assaulting a male inmate at Oahu Community Correctional Center. Malasig faces a maximum 10-year prison term when he is sentenced on the second-degree assault conviction in April. He remains free on supervised release.
