Two victims in Kaukonahua crash identified
The medical examiner today released the names of the teenage driver and the passenger who were killed in a one-vehicle crash in Wahiawa early yesterday.
The driver was identified as Teavaki Leao, 16, of Waianae.
The other victim, the front-seat passenger, was identified John Farias, 23, of Waianae.
Two other teenage boys, who were sitting in the back seat, were injured. At last report they were in serious condition.
Police said Leao was driving a stolen 2006 blue Scion when he lost control of the car at Kaukonahua Road’s S-turn in light rain.
All four occupants were taken to the Queen’s Medical Center.

The accident happened in the eastbound lane of Kaukonahua Road, three-quarters of a mile northwest of Wilikina Drive, at 2:15 a.m. yesterday, police said.
