A 58-year-old Waikiki woman hit her daughter with a glass in the head today during an argument, police said. 

The woman was booked on suspicion of second-degree assault at 5:15 p.m.

Police said the two were arguing when the 14-year-old girl tried to lock herself in her bedroom. The woman forced herself in and hit the girl in the face several times, police said. 

She hit the girl with the glass, causing a large cut, police added. 

Police were called and arrested the woman without incident.
