No. 3 Hawaii sweeps Nevada in volleyball
No. 3 Hawaii set a school-record for consecutive sets won when sweeping Nevada tonight in a Western Athletic Conference volleyball match in Reno, Nev., 25-13, 25-20, 25-22.
The Rainbow Wahine (26-1, 15-0) have won 56 consecutive sets, breaking the record of 54 set in 2002 against the Wolf Pack (13-15, 7-8). Hawaii also has a school-record 27 straight Set 1 wins this season.
Kanani Danielson put down 14 kills and Chanteal Satele added 12 in the 85-minute victory. Libero Elizabeth Ka’aihue had 16 of the Wahine’s 43 digs.
Hawaii’s final home regular-season match is Thursday against Idaho.
