No. 3 Hawaii sweeps San Jose State in volleyball
Kanani Danielson put down 13 kills and No. 3 Hawaii swept San Jose State today in Western Athletic Conference volleyball 25-17, 25-17, 25-21 in San Jose, Calif.
The win was the 20th straight for the Rainbow Wahine (25-1, 14-0 WAC). Hawaii also ran its streak of consecutuve set wins to 53, one off the school record.
Coupled with New Mexico State’s loss tonight at Idaho, the Wahine also clinched the regular-season WAC title for the 15th straight year.
Brittany Hewitt had five kills and was in on all eight of the Wahine blocks. Hawaii plays at Nevada tomorrow to finish its final regular-season road trip.
The Spartans (8-20, 3-11) got 13 kill from Hanah Blume.
