UH-Manoa’s athletic training program earns accreditation
A program run by the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science has earned accreditation.
The Entry-Level Graduate Athletic Training Education Program was awarded continued accreditation until 2020 by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education.
According to the university, the commission conducted a comprehensive evaluation, including an onsite visit and a review of materials.
UH Manoa Associate Professor Michelle Cleary said the athletic training profession has undergone rapid changes in the preparation necessary for entry-level practitioners.
