Online ballots available to Hawaii overseas voters
Overseas military troops who want to vote in the Nov. 2 election may print out ballots online and return them without having to pay postage.
The Federal Voting Assistance Program is encouraging members of the military and overseas citizens to print ballots from the agency’s website if they haven’t yet received a mailed absentee ballot.
The government says it takes overseas voters less than 10 minutes to print, fill out, sign and mail a ballot.
Besides free express mail and tracking through the Military Postal System Agency, FedEx also has special options for overseas citizens.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot in Hawaii is tomorrow. Ballots must be received by the county clerk by 6 p.m. on Nov. 2.
