» In a January plea agreement, Aloun Farms owners Alec and Mike Sou agreed to plead guilty to one count that they "did conspire … to hold Thai nationals in a condition of forced labor." A Page A1 article yesterday said the Sou brothers admitted that they "did lie" to the farm workers. The defendants have since disputed some of the plea deal and a federal judge rejected the agreement on Thursday.

» The list on Page A6 Wednesday of Hawaii polling places to be closed for the 2010 elections included seven sites that will be open this year. The sites — Hokulani, Kapalama, Waimalu and Kaelepulu elementary schools; Stevenson Middle; Kaimuki High; and Waipahu Field — each had two individual precincts in 2008, one of which has been consolidated with other polling sites. But the seven sites will still host their remaining precinct for the 2010 elections. To confirm your polling place and precinct number, go to elections3.hawaii.gov/ppl/ and follow the instructions, or call the Office of Elections at 453-8683 or 800-442-8683 from the neighbor islands.

» Herman Wedemeyer was pictured between Al Harrington and Jack Lord in a photo in Ben Wood’s "Wood Craft" column yesterday on Page D3. Wedemeyer had a recurring role in "Hawaii Five-0" as detective Duke Lukela. The photo caption identified him as James MacArthur.
