Chabad hosts High Holiday dates

Chabad of Hawaii’s High Holiday services will take place throughout the month in Hebrew and English at the Ala Moana Hotel in the new Chabad Center, second floor.

This year Rosh Hashanah (Jewish new year) services will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday.

Tashlich services ("casting away" one’s sins upon the waters) will take place at Ala Moana Beach Park following Thursday’s lunch. Another service will take place at 7:15 p.m. Thursday. Service is at 10 a.m. Sept. 10.

Both morning services will be followed by a Kiddush/Oneg lunch, and evening services by a dinner, the cost of which includes lunch the following day. For lunch only, a $15 donation is suggested.

The cost of the meals for kamaaina are $30 for adults and $20 for children 2 to 12. For visitors, the cost is $60 for adults and $40 for children. Prepaid reservations required; discounts available.
