Calif. Man suspected of attempted bribery arrested in Honolulu
MALIBU, Calif. — Authorities say a man suspected of the attempted extortion of a law enforcement officer and wanted in a string of burglaries in Malibu has been arrested in Honolulu.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Eric Lasko says Robert Krafft was taken into custody Friday by the U.S. Marshals Service in Hawaii.
Lasko says Krafft offered a sheriff’s department employee money in exchange for his release during a drug arrest in October 2009. Lasko says Krafft also was wanted for numerous narcotics violations and is suspected in a string of burglaries in Malibu.
Lasko says Krafft is being held in Honolulu pending extradition to Los Angeles County.
